VBCut missed a rally. What do I do?
Two things. Right now: switch to the Between view (the footage that was removed), find the moment, and tap Edit → Add rally — it’s back in your reel with normal lead-in and run-out. For next time: the most common causes are camera movement during the game and hard-to-see balls in very bright gyms — the filming guide covers both.
The app says the view was disturbed / results may be affected.
That means VBCut detected the camera being moved, zoomed, or knocked during the match (it happens — kids and stray balls find tripods). Rallies near that moment may need a manual check in the Between view. If the camera gets bumped mid-game, the best move is to stop the recording and start a new one — each video is analyzed independently, so the fresh recording analyzes cleanly.
How long does analysis take?
Roughly six times faster than real time on a recent iPhone, and faster still on an Apple Silicon Mac — a typical match is ready in minutes. The app shows progress and a time estimate while it works.
What video formats work?
Anything your iPhone or camera records that plays on your device — including 4K and HDR footage. Videos straight from the iPhone camera are the happy path.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. Everything runs on your device; there are no VBCut servers. See the privacy policy — it’s short because there’s nothing to disclose.
What devices are supported?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later, and Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 14 or later). Older devices may work but haven’t been validated yet.
How do I get the beta?
Email support@vbcut.com and tell us what you film with. Invites go out through Apple’s TestFlight.
